Complaining about people complaining about your complaints... surely there are better things to waste time and energy on. Maybe try making your own diary or blog separate from this.
I noticed they introduced yet another DC character -- Rose Levin. It seems both are bloggers, but in the comics she goes on to meet Booster Gold and discover their ancestry when she visits Coast City. This is worth mentioning since we've seen Booster in 8x06 and Iris will visit Coast City for "reasons" next episode. My theory is Booster Gold/Tinya Wazzo/Rose Levin and Iris' time sickness are all connected somehow, and that her trip to Coast City may reveal more about how this ties into the season. Aside from that, the fire-meta plot seems intriguing, I liked the new characterisation of Hotness, albeit kind of trope-y; obviously the killer is tied to Firestorm somehow, but I hope to death it isn't another mind-addled Ronnie because it'd be too obvious. I'm hoping for good surprises this season, though lately the show seems to be rehashing the same stuff in circles, making it disappointingly predictable. I just hope I didn't spoil the entire season for everyone lol.
Some of those are still regularly mentioned. A few more to add would be: Lucas Hilton, Amelia Hamilton, Maggie Sawyer, Ted Grant, Joanna de la Vega, Lucy Lane, Brandon Marshall, Gravedigger, Tracy Brand and Evelyn Sharpe.
It's easy to forget the obvious villains when you know too many obscure ones lol.
I do not see a single one of these choices to realistically be in season 8 other than Red Death or Cobalt Blue. The other options are either villains more irrelevant than not to the Flash or are reserved for other DC projects. My best guesses would be Creed Phillips, Reverse-Flash (Matt Letscher), a new Rogues group or the Renegades.
Add that to the list of things the Arrowverse failed to execute after good build-up. Crisis on Infinite Earths, Godspeed, Thinker, Savitar, Cyborg Superman, the Justice League, almost every single Black Lightning character that debuted in season 3 etc. etc..
Reverse-Flash
Zoom
Captain Cold
Gorilla Grodd
Trickster (James Jesse)
Bloodwork
Savitar
Thinker
Killer Frost (Earth-2 and/or Earth-1)
Mirror Monarch
Cicada (Orlin Dwyer)
Godspeed
Speed Force
Cicada II (Grace Gibbons)
Obviously subject to change but more or less my list.
The only thing I can complain about is the writing of that season. They really pushed for a NTA/OTA Civil War-eque arc, which was really unnecessary. I don't know if they thought they had too many vigilantes and that their unification would shorten the Cayden James/Diaz plotline, or if they simply wished to bank on the superhero civil wars from 2016, but it was exhausting to watch. Too many out-of-character decisions, unnecessary developments and weird murder-y stuff with Dinah. Also, IIRC, this is the same season with the internet subplot, so further reason for me to write it off as all shoddy writing and poor characterisation and plot devices.
HBOMax isn't funding this season. The proposed deal only began talks earlier this year (around February), after production began. The real change is that the CW were likely greenlit a bigger budget by higher-ups since it's a Superman show (but that's just conjecture as far as I know) and also they're using the same VFX team as the Witcher. You can look it up for proof.
Wally was a nice addition to the Legends but I think they caught on quick to how overpowered speedsters are. I would've liked to see Wally grow into the Flash had Barry actually died in Crisis, perhaps making seasons 6 and 7 about him before reintroducing Barry in season 8. Then Wally could've met Bart first, like in the comics, and battle some of his comic counterpart villains (some of whom were on Cisco's book, such as Kilg%re, Peek-a-Boo, Magenta) and even befriend Hartley and turn him into a supporting character, replacing Cisco. I think this would've been much better in my opinion. It's unfortunate that we'll only ever see Wally in sporadic appearances now...
As much as I loved RLT as Cobblepot, I'd rather see a fresh face to portray him. Not only would his appearance confuse fans and newcomers alike, but also Batwoman are likely to do something different with the character if they end up using him, so a new actor would adequately set them apart.
My boy Jon has been given the beatdown this season; I've barely seen any interaction between him and Clark too, a stark contrast to his comic counterpart. We know Sam meant well but, like in the comics, his methods are questionable and morally grey at best. Lois is aware of this, so it makes sense for her to be so protective over her family, especially since one of her own children became collateral due to Sam's choices. Not to mention they're estranged, so I wouldn't expect Lois to go easy on her father.
Iris barely had any experience as a speedster, while Eliza handled herself much better without any back-up. Objectively, Eliza would stand a much better chance in a one-on-one.
A carbon copy, yes, but the "clone" part ends there. Her original consciousness and memories are in a new body, making her still alive. There're many real-life examples of brain transplants to undoubtedly prove my point. I think I've made my case, so I'll end it here to prevent things from going off-topic. If, by some convoluted reason, the "real Sara" is dead, her seeing Laurel-1 would be a silver lining, albeit quite a thin one.
According to some sources, having twins could lead to a false negative, as high levels of hCG become too high to be detected. It's possible that this is the case and, if so, marks yet another foreshadowing for both Nora West-Allen and Bart.
While that is true, the opposite holds true just as much (in this context, the latter more than the former). Danton Black and Eve Teschmacher could spread their consciousnesses into multiple clones, sharing a hive/single mind. Conversely, not all clones share memories of the original, as proven by the Mirrorverse clones and Pollux. There's nothing indicating that this Sara is different in any meaningful way aside from powers though; the writers usually make it abundantly clear and this season will likely deal with Sara coming to terms with these changes and becoming comfortable in her new body. It is an interesting debate though, and quite reminiscent of the Theseus' ship paradox.
For Barry I'd say they're certainly getting there. If they didn't steal almost all of Wally's storylines, they would've ran out three/four seasons ago. The only reason they've gotten this far is because they've taken so much from other Flashes.
Sara Lance isn't dead. Her original body may be, but her consciousness is not. They even explain this, with Sara stating that she still has all her memories. Your sentience/mind trumps your physical being, as proven many times in the Arrowverse.
Definitely season 7 since it was purposefully written that way. From giving a closing arc to Team Arrow and redeeming Laurel-2 and Bronze Tiger to concluding Oliver's story (albeit non-linearly) and having special episodes dedicated to Spartan and both Canaries, they could've ended it there with little loose ends to tie up. Oliver buries his sister, future Felicity meets future him in the afterlife, the Arrowcave turns off its lights and that's it. Season 8 could've just as easily been a Crisis on Infinite Earths prelude or movie, giving his journey working for Novu up to the event itself. The only main antagonist was Mobius, who was only truly a villain for the Crisis crossover. Season 8 felt like a nostalgia trip for a last bow whereas I believe 7 truly ended the series, everything after was meant for Crisis in order to finalise everything. Last goodbyes and whatnot.
She didn't like Wally zooming around on the Waverider. I'd much prefer her to stay on LoT and then leave the team to stay in Egypt in order to become Isis. Besides, Barry can do everything she can, he has aerokinesis too.
