I'm actually wondering how much of a limit the movies are.

That existed in the early seasons of Supergirl for example (closest we got was him texting her, maybe seeing a red pair of boots) and then later on he's showing up and stuff, and then getting his own spinoff show.

Tyler Hoechlin came in as Supes on Oct 2016 for the s2 premiere smack between the March 2016 debut of Dawn of Justice and Oct 2017 premiere of Justice League. This didn't cause problems since he didn't become the focus of the show.

So even with Robert Pattinson coming in Oct 2021 as "The Batman" maybe it's not such a big deal... although maybe standalone films create larger problems than teamup films.

Well frankly Superman getting his own show is mainly due to the fact that the DCEU and other DC film projects don't know how to make a good Superman movie. They've ultimately admitted finally they don't understand the guy. So that's why he is allowed his own show. As they aren't using him for the foreseeable future. Batman however...

Whether animated or live action, there will be a film that at the very least has Batman in it once a year. It practically has become law now. Even the pandemic isn't stopping that. It's why he hasn't starred in his own live action TV show as Batman since the 60s. So yeah, him getting a guest spot is brief on Batwoman. It's also why they shouldn't have had so much of the plot relying on his appearance to clear things up. Sure, with Supergirl, there was questions he could clear up about things, but they didn't really need them all answered.

They'll probably just have him IM answers to her so that the only appearance of Bruce we get will be Hush.

Feels like the elderly Bruce in Titans had an almost Batman Beyond feel to him from the looks. Maybe not THAT old...

Exactly. None truly showed Batman. Though my idea on how Bruce could appear in this show would be as the secretive vigilante Insider.

Hard to say who the true Batman is anymore, like if the original DetecCom brutal version was the true one, then he hasn't been true to his brutal origins ever since rescuing Joker in Batman 1. But for those who identify with the family-friendly blue-caped version toting a yellow-caped sidekick then I'm sure his brutal version seems untrue. Is trueness always first come first serve? If that's the case then Hulk or Iron Man haven't resembled their first appearances for a long time. Multiple earths give us multiple true versions and possibly at some point the most-used tropes might seem truer to the public than the first-used tropes.

In terms of core elements, he's been a brutal avenger whose one rule is that he will not kill for most of his time.
