What are your unpopular opinions about the Arrowverse?
Yes, but the writers chose something that fit the narrative. The Nazi's are scarier to the audience if they disrupt a moment that's supposed to be safe and sacred, ie the wedding.
And common consensus is that the double wedding was horrible, to the point that the writers on The Flash made fun of it in the next episode.
I still did'nt like the Nazis interupting thiugh.
Lets just hope the writers can give Barry and Iris a vowel renewal/ oropwr wedding that they deserve
You're not supposed to, that's the point. It's not bad writing, it's you having a negative emotional response to their actions, which was the intention of the writers.
Why would they slow down the episode by actually getting into the minutiae of their wedding. They talk about how much they love each other all the time. We don’t actually need to hear their vows.
This probably isn't really an unpopular opinion, but the shows really need more LGBT (specifically gay) men. Don't get me wrong, I will always support the inclusion of LGBT women, but I can't help but notice it is very lopsided towards female representation. Not to make it out like men are an underrepresented demographic at all, but I can't help but feel they mostly neglect LGBT men because they know queerphobic people are generally more egregious towards men in the community.
But I'm going on a tangent. Off the top of my head in the shows still running, Constantine, Gary, and Singh are the only LGBT men (two of which are just recurring characters, not main cast) and that's just a disappointingly small amount considering how much the CW prides themself on... pride.
Also, give us LGBT main villains. Gays love that, lol.
Here's the thing about LBGT men. The demographic of the CW Arrowverse is generally teenage boys, and that demographic tends to be more accepting of lesbians than any other form of LGBT character (for obvious teenage boy reasons). However, this is also a terrible way of thinking, and more male LGBT representation is sorely needed.
Yes, chaotic gay villains are amazing (Snart, Pied Piper).
That's true, but the CW needs to learn that it's important to normalize all facets of the LGBT and not just the ones straight teen guys will find hot or not bothered by. And, because of the fact there's so many queer Arrowverse characters, there's a lot of queer people who have flocked to these shows of all parts of the community, and they shouldn't be ignored, either.
Also, the gay men that *have* shown up have been very disappointing as far as being representative of the gay experience (Curtis, William, Singh). Only really Leo and Ray have done it right and, guess what, they only appeared in one crossover, and Leo in a few episodes of Legends.
Yes, Hartley is great and I want more of him (especially this post-Crisis version), but I'm talking a main villain. One that will be the big threat the whole season (or at least half of it).
I really hope Hartley becomes a member of Team Flash (replace Hartley with Hartley). Also, I thought William was great representation, he was incredibly relatable, I just think the only problem is that we haven't gotten more of him.
What do you think?
