It can be set in the past with Mar Novu and rewrite major Arrowverse Events. The Elseworlds Crossover can basically set this series up in the near future.

Just as the battle with the Anti-Monitor seems to have been lost, the Specter (Oliver Queen) comes in like a boss to hand the Paragons the two most powerful items ever shown in the Arrowverse, the Book of Destiny and the Spear of Destiny (because call back), while he battles the Anti-Monitor, so that they can bring back reality!
I mean both of those items could rewrite reality, so I’m sure they’ll be used to bring reality back although I doubt, they’ll bring back the multiverse. Hopefully they'll include a huge battle, á la Endgame!
