The fifth episode of Superman and Lois, last one until May 18th, aired just last night. This episode has one focus in mind, The Harvest Festival. Jonathan's excited that his girlfriend's coming over, Jordan's excited for his date with Sarah, all is well... just kidding, everything is horrible.
Jonathan and Jordan experience a dynamic shift. Jonathan, who was the popular kid with a girlfriend and a promising football career, finds himself shoved out of the spotlight, dumped, and now viewed as a less important football player than Jordan. Suddenly all of those little bits of jealousy he picked up comes out, he yells at his dad that he hates it in Smallville and he wants to move out then he goes to the festival and gets drunk. By the end Jonathan agrees to give it a little more time and, if he still hates it in Smallville, he can leave. On Jordan's end we're shown the much gentler side of the character as he supports Sarah who is, obviously, going through a lot as her family slowly falls apart before her very eyes, probably wishing that her parents would just divorce already instead of being ok then not ok all the time.
On Clark's end he has flashbacks to when he was a little older than his boys, a year after his dad died, we're shown that Clark was struggling to obey the rules his dad had set when he wanted so badly to help people with his powers. Eventually, after an argument with his mom, Martha decided that it was best to send Clark out into the world so he could figure out who he was. This leads Clark to the conclusion that he needs to let Jonathan figure out who he is on his own.
On Lois' end she has to deal with the fact that Sharron's missing son has returned, clearly he is not well mentally or physically as he now has Kryptonian powers. Lois doesn't get to do too much this episode though we do learn that Luthor, the guy from the other Earth, was married to his version of Lois. Her not getting captured count is at five.
We end this episode on a cliffhanger, Jordan gets beaten up by Tag, he is still feeling the effects of Kryptonite X and now knows that Jordan was responsible meaning the three storylines are now merging. Till next time, bye
I think I know what Morgan Edge is up to. In the comics Lesla-Lar or as she’s known in the show Leslie Larr is from the bottled city of Kandor, I think her origin here is similar. I think that large glowing orb that Morgan Edge found in episode 4 is a device that holds the consciousness of all the residents of Kandor and Morgan Edge is now abducting miners in order to transfer the Kandorians minds into their bodies, while also using X-Kryptonite to give them powers.
