Prometheus' vengeance[]
Prometheus' sheathed sword
Along with his throwing stars, Adrian Chase carried a chokutō on his quest for vengeance against the Hood for killing his father, operating under the moniker of "Prometheus." He carried it in a sheath next to his quiver, and used it to kill Lieutenant Sam Conahan.[1] Prometheus unsheathed his sword when he confronted Artemis on a train, wielding it in conjunction with his bow and disarming Artemis of her weapon. After dispatching her, Prometheus prepared to kill the train conductor with his sword, but was stopped by the Green Arrow.[2] He later maintained his sword and used it to attack Curtis Holt, and held it when he fought Green Arrow again. However, Wild Dog shot the sword from his grip. Prometheus attached his sword to Billy Malone when he dressed him up as himself to trick Green Arrow into putting three arrows into him.[3] He used his sword against Green Arrow during their next fight.[4]
Prometheus briefly used his sword against Green Arrow once more, but then they decided to fight-hand-to-hand instead of with their weapons.[5] He brought the sword to Lian Yu, where he fought Green Arrow for the final time.[6]
When Oliver hallucinated Prometheus, he also envisioned him brandishing his sword.[7]
Functions[]
- Combat: The sword is a chokutō, a short, straight-bladed guardless sword. The blade is sharp enough to kill humans, such as Sam Conahan.
