Alun Thomas[1] is a soldier in the British Army's 38th Infantry Division and the best friend of Gwyn Davies. His death was a fixed point in the timeline according to Gideon, until he was saved by the Legends.
Biography[]
Early life[]
- "In the river, I have seen you through love, age, and misery. In the river, I will find you, for you will always be you, and I will always be me. I will find you, for you will always be you, and I will always be me."
- —Gwyn Davies quotes Alun Thomas[src]
At some point, Alun Thomas and Gwyn Davies became best friends. Alun managed to light up a room with a smile and wrote Gwyn the most delightful poetry.[1]
Original timeline[]
Death[]
A few years into World War I, Alun and Gwyn were tasked with delivering a letter to a unit, but along the way, Alun got killed on July 1, 1916.[1]
New timeline[]
Saved and arrested[]
Eventually, Gwyn used his time machine to travel to 1916 to prevent Alun from dying, and the Legends helped him in saving Alun. Once Alun reunited with Gwyn and Nate Heywood retired from the team, the Legends returned to Waverider and got lured by Mike, so the Time police could arrest them for violating the timeline.[2]
Legacy[]
After his death, Gwyn started work on a functioning time machine to save him. Gwyn talked to Zari Tomaz, about Alun and how he made him feel, and how he loved him.[1] A robot clone of himself was created since Alun's death is a fixed point to the timeline. Gwyn quickly realized it wasn't his Alun, so he took out the robot's CPU, and started the search for Alun again.[3]
Personality[]
Alun seemed to be a nice man, who would make Gwyn feel better and laughed over his horrible jokes.[1]
