- "Pride is the enemy of peace."
- —Wally West quoting Bhikkhunī Amala[src]
Bhikkhunī Amala is a Buddhist nun at a Peace Corps camp.
Biography[]
Peace Corps[]
- "The lotus is one of the eight auspicious symbols meaning purity and renunciation, practice which I'm currently being guided through by Bhikkhunī Amala, the Buddhist nun assigned to my Peace Corps camp."
- —Wally West[src]
During Bhikkhunī Amala's time in the Peace Corps, she met Wally West at a camp and helped him better control his powers through spiritual enlightenment.[1]
Potential future[]
In a potential future in 2049, Wally visited Qinghai and sought help from Amala. He told her that when he entered the village, he became overwhelmed with dread. Bhikkhuni told him that there must be a reason for his dread and advised him to investigate his mind.[2]
Abilities[]
- "Bhikkhunī Amala helped me discover a way to communicate with the Speed Force—to seek guidance by projecting my consciousness into it while leaving my body behind."
- —Wally West[src]
- High-level intellect: Bhikkhunī Amala is a wise individual, knowledgeable in the ways of the Speed Force enough to help Wally West develop his powers and learn to communicate with the entity, something which the Flash admitted to never being able to do on his own. Furthermore, Iris West-Allen's mirror duplicate doubted that the Flash would ever have the same relationship with the Speed Force as Wally because of Amala's teachings, especially after he became Dark Flash. Under her tutelage, Wally was able to take the Flash into the Speed Force without the latter even knowing.
