An unnamed woman was the ancestor of Amaya Jiwe, Esi, Kuasa, and Mari.

Biography

When Amaya Jiwe drank tea made concocted with a special root from Zambesi village, she had a vision of the woman, who explained why the Anansi Totem's power increasing; a threat more powerful than anything she'd previously encountered was coming, and Amaya should embrace the totem rather than resist its increased power.[1]

Several months later, Amaya and Zari Tomaz drank the tea and arrived in the woman's dreamscape, which was now dark and dying. The woman appeared and warned the two that the longer the Darhk family possess the Anansi Totem, the more its power will be corrupted. The woman urges Amaya to retrieve Kuasa, as she will soon need her. She reveals the very first Totem bearers imprisoned a great evil, Mallus, in the timescape to prevent him from entering the real world; thus, the more time is broken, the closer Mallus comes to breaking free. Suddenly, the woman realized that Nora Darhk has claimed the Anansi Totem's power and disappears, which leaves her fate unknown.[2]
