Amelia Earhart was a former United States pilot who was spliced with Zaguron DNA as part of Bishop's experiments, which created a Zaguron part of her who fought for control of her body. This Zaguron part poisoned Sara Lance, which slowly and painfully killed her. Eventually, she was killed by the Zaguron part, which transformed and took control of her body and the Zaguron part was finally killed by Ava Sharpe to protect Esperanza Cruz, avenging Sara's death.[1]

Biography[]

Early life[]

Amelia Earhart grew up in the town of Rye, New York, with her house being at 37 Locust Street. Earhart's interest in flying began with a visit to the Canadian National Exhibition. At some point, she became a United States pilot.[2][1]

Abducted by Bishop[]

Amelia was soaring over the Pacific with her navigator Fred, almost done their flight around the globe when she was abducted by Kayla and taken to Pliny X19. While here, Bishop spliced her DNA with that of a Zaguron. Sometime following this, Amelia managed to escape, and made a home for herself on the planet.[2][1]

When Sara Lance and Gary Green crash-landed on Pliny X19, they were led by a dog to Amelia's shelter. Initially, Amelia was prepared to fight them, but quickly realized that Sara and Gary were not invaders, and instead invited them into the shelter. The three ate together, where they discussed how they had come to be where they were. Amelia began repeating herself many times when discussing her disappearance, causing Sara and Gary to become concerned. When the two attempted to leave, Amelia was temporary overcome by her Zaguron side, which poisoned Sara in an attempt to stop her escaping. Amelia was then knocked out by Gary, which allowed the two to escape.[2]

When Mick Rory and Kayla went to rescue Sara, Amelia stole the Waverider without them realizing it and ended up in 1956, where she ended up in Endless Meadows Asylum. She used various names there, like Mary Pickford, Marion Davies, and Sara Lance. The Legends disguised themselves and took her away, taking her to Constantine's house to interrogate her. Behrad Tarazi and Esperanza Cruz tried to get her to say what she knew about Sara but it didn't work. When Ava Sharpe found out that Amelia stole the Waverider, she entered the room and demanded that she tell the truth, which causes Amelia to reveal her half Zaguron form to attack them, but she was sedated up by Esperanza and taken to Waverider.

They put her on a stretcher and asked Astra Logue to use a spell to make her reveal the truth, which made the Zaguron part fought for total control, which transformed and took control of her body. She tried to attack the Legends but they trapped her in the room. The Zaguron then called Esperanza, who understood and decided to enter the room to find out what happened to Sara. She said she killed her and was killed by Ava, in retaliation.[1]
