AmerTek Industries Ltd., or simply AmerTek, is an oil and gas company located in Star City. It has 12 subsidiaries, including Atomic Defensive Systems.

History

AmerTek Industries was incorporated on December 4, 1975, and employs over 20,000 people.

In late 2014, AmerTek planned to strike a deal to build an oil pipeline in Qurac.[1]

AmerTek Industries produced a Phase 3 suppression door to keep the Kahndaq Dynasty Diamond safe while in display at the Central City Museum.[2]

In early 2016, Roy Harper (under blackmail from The Calculator) stole a network mapper from AmerTek.[3]

AmerTek's subsidiary, Atomic Defensive Systems, engineered nuclear missiles. In May 2016, the missiles were used by Damien Darhk and H.I.V.E. in Genesis. One of the missiles, a KN-08, hit and destroyed Havenrock. Once these facts were revealed, AmerTek's stock prices began plummeting to the point that the company was potentially facing bankruptcy.

In October 2016, AmerTek helped to cover the expenses for a free medical clinical event organized by Mayor Oliver Queen in an attempt to gain positive PR. While initially hesitant due to potential violence at the event, Oliver offered to indemnify AmerTek and put on extra security. At the same time, in an attempt to keep the company afloat after their connection to Genesis Day was revealed, CEO Janet Carroll began selling weapons to crime lord Tobias Church.[4]

The facility of AmerTek was later raided by Cayden James and the members of his cabal, including Black Siren, who stole a polymer explosive and combined it with another stolen weapon, nanotermite, to create a thermobaric bomb.[5]
