Anaya is a member of the Perdi who lives in South Freeland.

Biography

Original multiverse

Early life

Anaya was born in South Freeland to Batina and Thierry.

At some point, Anaya met Deacon, a member of the Sange, and fell in love with him. Despite the restriction on intermingling between the Perdi and Sange, they continued their relationship and Anaya fell pregnant.[1]

The Perdi

Fearful of what might happen to them if the relationship was found out, the pair visited the Rebecca Lee Crumpler Free Clinic for a check up, where they met Anissa Pierce. Looker, the leader of the Sange, found out about the pregnancy. Deacon went to Anissa for help, but died in her arms.[1]

Anaya in her house

Anaya in her house.

Anaya was with her family when Anissa arrived. Anissa had to break the news that Deacon had died, causing her to go into labor. Anissa helped Anaya to deliver twin daughters, one black and the other white.[2]

Months after the encounter of Anissa, she and the Perdi found her unconscious body outside the perimeter set by the A.S.A..[3]

A year later, Anaya allows safe passage for the Freeland's suspected meta-humans through their territory. She had a disagreement with Anissa, but they resolved later.[4][5]

Anti-Monitor Crisis

During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Anaya as well as everyone in the multiverse except for the seven Paragons, was killed in an antimatter wave by the Anti-Monitor on December 10, 2019,[6] only to be restored a month later, after the Paragons and the Spectre created a new universe.[7]

New multiverse

At some point in the history of Earth-Prime, Anaya and the Perdi became friends with Blackbird to the extent that Anaya had her home phone number.[8]

Captured

Anaya and the Perdi's camp were discovered and attacked by the Markovians. Anaya called Blackbird for assistance. The A.S.A. showed up to help, although Anaya and her father were captured by the Markovians before Black Lightning, Anissa as Thunder, and Grace Choi arrived.[8] Thunder and Grace, however, were later able to rescue them.[9]
