Animals are species of living beings that inhabit numerous planets in the multiverse. On Earth, some animals are pets to humans, while others still inhabit the wild or are being exhibited at zoos.

Overview

One of the first known species on Earth are the Dinosaurs, a diverse group of reptilian animals, most of which are believed to have gone extinct by the end of the Cretaceous period.[1]

The known non-terrestrial animals are: Angon alien parasite, Aurafacians, Daxamite Scorpion,[2] Helvenian crabs,[3] Kryptonite-breathing hell dragon,[4] Maladorian Dendroasp,[2] Psychic starfish,[5] Starfish from outer space,[6] Sun-Eaters, and Thanagarian Snarebeast.[7]

Many vigilantes use animal names in their alter-egos especially if their powers are in some way related to an animal's ability.

History

Cretaceous period

A diverse group of reptilian animals known as Dinosaurs are believed to have gone extinct by the end of the Cretaceous period and the time of humans.[1]

Zoo prison break

In 2014, a mysterious woman with pet snakes entered the Central City Zoo to find the chimpanzees. She proceeded to take control of them, giving them glowing eyes, as well as most of the other animals. This caused the zoo's occupants to all flee. She took them out on to a main road.[8] The Flash was successfully able to lead the chimpanzees back to their cage.[9]
