Anna Loring[1] (died May 2014) was the fiancée of Ray Palmer.
Biography[]
Protection from The Pilgrim[]
When the Pilgrim targeted the loved ones of the Legends, Anna was extracted from history, being held in her fiancée Ray Palmer's quarters aboard the Waverider. Later once The Pilgrim was defeated, Anna was returned to her place in time and presumably given an amnesia pill to erase her memory of what transpired.[2]
Death[]
When Slade Wilson's army stormed Starling City, Ray and Anna were caught in the crossfire of their assault. Unable to escape, Ray attempted to fight back and protect Anna, but his leg was broken. The soldiers then killed Anna by snapping her neck while Ray helplessly watched.[3]
Legacy[]
Anna's death was ultimately what led Ray down the path that would lead him to eventually become the vigilante known as the Atom.

Behind the scenes[]
- Anna's surname is a reference to Jean Loring, Ray Palmer's wife in the DC comics.
- In the Arrowverse, Jean's character is split into four: Jean (a once mentioned and abandoned version of the character), Jean Loring (an attorney in Star City), Anna (Ray's late fiancée), and John Loring (a criminal).
