Anne of Austria was the queen consort of France, and the wife of King Louis XIII.
Biography
Sometime during or prior to 1637, Anne of Austria married King Louis XIII of France. On the night that the couple was set to consummate their marriage, Anne was prepared by Sara Lance, disguised as her handmaiden. Anne complimented Sara's necklace, which Sara said was a gift from her sister. Anne realized Sara spoke as though her sister was dead and began to flirt with her. Sara tried to remind Anne that she was about to consummate her marriage with her husband, but this did little to change her mind. Giving in, Sara slept with Anne. Later that day, Anne consummated her marriage with Louis XIII.[1]

- Historically, Anne von Habsburg, better known as "Anne of Austria" was the queen consort of France and Navarre, regent for her son, Louis XIV of France, and a Spanish and Portuguese Infanta by birth.
- Unlike her husband, who has been rumored to be homosexual, there is no evidence that Anne was attracted to women.
