Basil,[1] also known as Clayface, was an enemy of Batman. He was dissected after a confrontation with Batman.
Biography[]
At some point, Basil was infected by a clay with unknown properties, which changed his physiology, turning him into a metahuman. Basil assumed Clayface's identity and became an enemy of Batman. During one such conflict, the vigilante kept a sample of his mud in the Batcave. After Batman took down Clayface, he was dissected.[1][2]

In 2021, Clayface's mud was stolen by "Circe Sionis" alongside other items belonging to Batman's enemies.
