"Battles Lost and Won" is the twenty-third and final episode of the third season of Supergirl, and the sixty-fifth episode overall. It aired on June 18, 2018.
Synopsis
Supergirl and team take on Selena in an epic battle for Earth.[1]
Trivia
- The episode was previously titled "Supergirl Returns". This was a callback to the 2006 movie Superman Returns which starred Brandon Routh.
- However the titles continuously switch back and forth making fans quite confused about the real name.
- The moment where Reign holds Supergirl in a headlock is reminiscent of the now-infamous moment in "Man of Steel", where Superman snaps Zod's neck.
- This marks the last appearances of Jeremy Jordan, Chris Wood and Odette Annable as series regulars.
- When Kara quoted "you're all clear kid, now let's blow this thing and go home", this was a Star Wars reference.
- The song played at the end of this episode is "Through It All" from Charlie Puth's Voicenotes album.
