The Black Canary suits are a series of suits designed to be utilized by Sara Lance as The Canary, and later Laurel Lance as Black Canary.

History

Original suit

When Sara started fighting against crime as the vigilante known as The Canary, she wore a black leather suit, the pants being reminiscent of fishnet stockings, and she wore a mask to hide her identity from enemies, even from her friends and family at first.

Laurel Lance's Black Canary suit

After the death of her sister Sara, Laurel began fighting against crime as the vigilante known as Black Canary, she wears a black leather suit, the suit is a modified version of the one used by her late sister. She also wears the black mask and the blonde wig to hide her identity from her enemies (she later abandoned the wig). Additionally, the suit is equipped with Canary Cry on her collar, thanks to Cisco Ramon's upgrade. Evelyn Crawford Sharp, who idolized the Black Canary, donned the suit after her heroine's death and further upgraded the Canary Cry.

Functions

Identity concealment: Both Sara and Laurel Lance used a black mask to conceal their identities and to keep their family safe from harm.
Sonic scream: After Cisco Ramon created the Canary Cry, Laurel could scream via the use of a collar, the Canary Cry, to not only distract enemies and break glass, but use it as a weapon. The weapon was further upgraded by Evelyn Sharp during her brief resurgence as the new Black Canary.

Trivia
