A vigilante team led by Black Lightning operate in Freeland. They protect Freeland from anyone who means to cause it harm, especially The 100. Due to the Anti-Monitor Crisis, the team members were relocated to Earth-Prime.

Peter Gambi trained Jefferson when he was young, in time Jeff eventually became known as "Black Lightning". He fought the 100 over years until Lynn made him stop.

Jeff later returned to the title and fought the 100 again and to stop the A.S.A. but now he's fighting alongside his daughters Anissa and Jennifer.
