"I'm going to enjoy killing you most of all!"
—Blitzkrieg to the Ray[src]

"Blitzkrieg" is a meta-human speedster and a member of the New Reichsmen, an elite group within the New Reich's Schutzstaffel forces. After a battle with the Freedom Fighters, Blitzkrieg, along with Black Arrow, was knocked unconscious long enough for them to lock him up.

Biography

Blitzkrieg and Black Arrow were led by Overgirl to attack the Freedom Fighters. This resulted in the deaths of The Ray and Dollman.

Later, Blitzkrieg ambushed Vibe. After a fight, Blitzkrieg emerged victorious and successfully captured Vibe.

Blitzkrieg joined Black Arrow and Overgirl one last time for a confrontation with the Freedom Fighters' army. Blitzkrieg took on Phantom Lady during the battle and was eventually defeated. The Freedom Fighters placed meta dampening cuffs on Blitzkrieg and captured him, along with Black Arrow, having defeated the Reichsmen.

Powers and abilities

Powers

  • Speed Force connection/Meta-human physiology: Like other speedsters, Blitzkrieg has a connection to the Speed Force, granting him super speed.
    • Electrokinesis: Like all speedsters with a natural and pure connection to the Speed Force, Blitzkrieg is able to generate yellow lighting from his body when moving fast enough.[1]
    • Superhuman speed: Due to his connection to the Speed Force, Blitzkrieg can move fast with super speed from one place to another.[1]
    • Accelerated healing factor: Blitzkrieg’s molecules move at accelerated rates, mending damage far quicker and more efficiently than normal humans. Without treatment, most damage heals in hours if not minutes with no lingering signs. Even normally permanent damage, like paraplegia, is completely repaired in days. His body can break down food more efficiently than a regular human and, as a result, expels very little waste products that he can exhale through his skin. He recovers from in seconds if not is immune to any illness or contaminant. He even has a greater resilience to radiation, only suffering minor burns.
    • Bodily vibration: Blitzkrieg can vibrate his body for various effects. This can mask his form from being clearly perceived or distort his vocal cords to disguise his voice. His vibrations can forcibly expel any toxins in him. He can also generate enough heat to recover and stay thermally insulated from extreme cold. Offensively, he can vibrate his limbs to seamlessly grind through highly solid targets, which he can use to harm or kill a person.
      • Intangibility: By vibrating his molecules at the frequency of air, Blitzkrieg can physically pass through solid matter, even highly complex matter like carbine while in an alternate universe, which vibrates at a different frequency, and thus would require him to find the frequency required to be able to achieve this.
    • Superhuman agility: Blitzkrieg has demonstrated flawless coordination, equilibrium and dexterity. He can change direction with immediate sharp turns without sliding or losing balance and instantly stop running on the spot. He can jump and run along falling debris and launch himself tremendous distances without build-up.
    • Superhuman mental process: Blitzkrieg's powers also make his system and thought processing able to take in and retain information just as fast and efficiently. Even while using his raw speed, he can clearly think, react to events, and perform actions long before normal humans can perceive them. This lets him learn in a small fraction of the normal time it would take for other, non-speedster individuals.

Abilities

  • Swordsmanship: Blitzkrieg enhanced his abilities as a speedster by using a short sword to quickly stab and slash his enemies.[1]

Equipment

  • SS-decorated speedster uniform: Blitzkrieg wears a typical speedster suit of black color, decorated with SS symbols.[1]
  • Short sword: Blitzkrieg was armed with a short sword, extending his attack range while blitzing.[1]

Behind the scenes

  • In DC Comics continuity, Baron Blitzkrieg was the alter-ego of Baron Reiter, and though he wasn't a speedster, his descendant Baroness Blitzkrieg was. She was also a member of a Nazi group known as the Fourth Reich.
    • Additionally, in DC Comics there was an Earth-X speedster named Blitzen, a female Nazi-affiliated superhero with a Jay Garrick-like costume decorated with SS insignia, similarly to how Blitzkrieg wears a Barry Allen-inspired suit also decorated with SS insignia.
    • A separate Nazi Flash from Earth-X also exists, a member of the New Reich with a suit similar to Barry's except mostly golden so it is closer to the suit used by Eobard Thawne, especially when he was an SS General during Crisis on Earth-X.
  • Originally, Marc Guggenheim confirmed in an interview that Blitzkrieg is the Earth-X doppelgänger of Barry Allen.[2] However, much of the concepts for Earth-X has changed since the interview and the animated series' production started, with characters such as Black Arrow and Dark Arrow becoming different despite the original intentions. As such, it is unclear whether this information is still relevant to the character Blitzkrieg.
