Bonnie opted to escape reality and started wearing the contact lenses provided by Obsidian North called Obsidian Platinum; she established a fictional character for herself called "Treasure Hunter Tilly" and wore an "Indiana Jones"-like outfit in virtual reality.

One day, "Tilly" met "Supergirl" while at a concert; "Tilly" talked about her real self and how Jill, though sickly, was a big fan of the real Supergirl. Bonnie taught "Supergirl" the rules of the VR world and how to tell who were Non-Player Characters. The two left, amicably, as Bonnie had a helicopter get her before a passing dragon collided with the concert venue.

Later, as "Supergirl" ate, "Tilly" was in the same bar and grill; "Supergirl" confided in her about how she had a real-life girlfriend named Kelly who could eat the blueberry pancakes in VR without being allergic and how she, herself, was escaping the death of her father and the feelings with it. By listening, "Tilly" made "Supergirl" feel better and want to return to reality. This confused "Tilly"; the only reality she knew was right there. "Supergirl" asked about Jill; "Tilly" had no idea who that was.

In reality, Bonnie was trapped in VR with a picture of herself and Jill laying on her chest; Margot Morrison came to collect her.[2]

Weeks later, Bonnie was freed from captivity when Margot was killed.[1]
