"I'll get you, you son of a bitch! This ain't over! I got a whole bunch of time to figure out how I'm gonna kill your ass!"
—Chris Medlock to Angus Stanton[src]

Chris Medlock, also known as the "Fist", is boxer and ex-con previously prosecuted by Angus Stanton who was suspected of being the Executioner.

Biography[]

Wrongfully incarcerated[]

Medlock worked as a boxer and occasional con in Gotham City, gaining the nickname the "Fist", one day he was arrested by Detective Stu Donnelly under the accuse of having assaulted a man in a bar. Due to a gun being found inside his car and a confession being extorted from him, Medlock was persecuted by assistant district attorney Angus Stanton and, after accepting a plea deal, sentenced by judge Raymond Calverick to 20 years at Blackgate Penitentiary. Realizing he was framed by the trio, Medlock lashed out and attacked Stanton in the courtroom promising to kill him after he got out, right before being escorted away.[1]

Suspected of being the Executioner[]

By 2019 Medlock was released from prison on parole and due to the overcrowding at Blackgate, in the same week the Executioner started his trail of murders killing Stanton first. Due to Medlock's previous claim and the fact that his biometrics roughly match those of Stanton's killer, he was immediately accused of being the Executioner and arrested by the Crows. However, before they could hand him to the Gotham City Police Department, Batwoman intervened and freed him, giving them a pen-drive containing information regarding Stanton, Donnelly and Calverick having sentenced innocent individuals to death row for years, despite of Jacob Kane finding the information doubtful. After this, Calverick was arrested and the real Executioner killed in a gunfight, leading to Medlock being released and cleared of all past and present charges.[1]

Abilities[]

  • Peak of human physical condition: As a boxer, Medlock is in top physical condition, his physical conditioning is strong enough to take on several guards during his trial despite being handcuffed and was seen fast and agile enough to outpace a pursuing Crows agent and was only caught because another Crow tackled Medlock at an angle across the latter's path.[1]
  • Expert hand-to-hand combatant/Martial artist: Medlock is a highly skilled hand-to-hand combatant and martial artist, having fought high level boxing bouts.[1]
