- "What did you do?"
"Clearly what you couldn't."
"How was he a threat!?"
"Strange visitor from another planet comes to Earth with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men!? 'Clark'. Clark always said yes to anyone with a badge. Or a flag. He gave them too much power. My parents taught me a very different lesson; life only makes sense if you force it to." - —Kate Kane and Bruce Wayne argue over the latter's decision to kill his Earth's Superman.[src]
Clark was a Kryptonian from Earth-99 who spent his lifetime protecting Earth as Superman, stylized as the Man of Steel.
Biography[]
Long before the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Superman arrived on Earth under the guise of a civilian. Batman saw him as a man full of power and extraordinary abilities, unlike any mortal, and as a danger to the world. He went head-on against the Man of Steel and killed him, though Superman managed to severely wound Bruce in the struggle.[1]
Legacy[]
Bruce Wayne collected Clark's glasses as a trophy, keeping them in a cabinet. When Kate Kane of Earth-1 and Kara Danvers of Earth-38 arrived at his mansion, Kara discovered the glasses and realized Bruce's true persona. When Bruce attempted to murder Kara for the same reason he murdered Clark, Kate fought and accidentally killed him, avenging Clark and saving Kara in the process.[1]
Equipment[]
- Glasses: Clark wore glasses, but when he was killed by Bruce they were cracked and splattered with blood.[1]
Appearances[]

Season 1[]

Behind the scenes[]
- This version of Clark/Superman is implied to share similarities with The Dark Knight Returns comic, in that he always said yes to anyone with a badge or flag. This is referenced by Bruce's dialogue towards Supergirl.
