Frost and Carla unite their powers to catch the Black Flame.

The Cold Fusion Sphere was created by Carla Tannhauser and Chester P. Runk by using the fusion sphere from the artificial Speed Force machine (the smaller one; or the sphere whose hands were placed on it) and recalibrating it for a cryo-kinetic signature.

Soon after the Cold Fusion Sphere was used by Team Flash to capture the Black Flame but ultimately failed.
