"Confidence Women" is the sixth episode of the fifth season of Supergirl, and the ninety-third episode overall. It aired on November 10, 2019.

Synopsis

While a new villain is under arrest at the DEO, Supergirl uses him to try and understand who is responsible for the recent attacks. Meanwhile, Andrea and Lena think back on their tumultuous past.^[1]

Trivia

This is the first episode of the series to not feature Azie Tesfai (Kelly Olsen) after being promoted to a series regular.
There is no Mount Helena Boarding School However, there is a private school Mount Helena Primary School in Australia.
Jon Cryer makes an uncredited appearance as Lex Luthor.
- The scene he appears in is a deleted scene originally meant as a flashback in Season 4's "The House of L"^[2]
This episode included a large number of flashbacks including:
- When Lena Luthor decided to move to National City after Supergirl stopped the Myriad attack in "Better Angels".
- When Supergirl and Superman saved Lena Luthor in "The Adventures of Supergirl"
- Lex Luthor telling Lena that Kara Danvers in Supergirl in "The Quest for Peace".
- Lena Luthor watching Supergirl save a school bus on the news in "Event Horizon".
- This episode also includes a flashback with-in a flashback from "O Brother, Where Art Thou?"
In a flashback;
- Kara Danvers was shown to wear the exact same blue top as she wears in "Girl of Steel" & "Damage".
- Lena Luthor was shown to wear her yellow and white dress from "Parasite Lost".
- Kara wore her stripped sweater from "Will The Real Miss Tessmacher Please Stand Up?"

Goofs

Supergirl saved the school bus in "The Quest for Peace", 10 weeks ago, however, the episode claimed 2 weeks later Lena Luthor called Andrea Rojas into her office to negotiate selling CatCo Worldwide Media. However, Lena had already sold CatCo in "The Quest for Peace", before Supergirl saved the school bus.
The flashback of Lena and Andrea met each other takes place 15 years ago, although Lena is 26, which would make her only 11 years old at the time. This is impossible, because they would not have been able to pass as 21-year-olds at the bar, if that was the case.
