Synopsis
Caitlin decides that she and Barry need to move on from Ronnie and Iris and find new loves so she takes him for a night out at the local karaoke bar. Caitlin doesn’t have any luck making a love connection but Barry meets Linda Park, a sports reporter for the Central City Picture News, and asks her out on a date. When Barry tells Iris he has a date, Iris is surprised by her reaction. Meanwhile, Cisco considers Hartley's dangerous offer and the team searches for Shawna, a meta-human with teleportation powers, who just busted her boyfriend Clay out of Iron Heights. When Henry snoops around in an attempt to help Joe and Barry solve the crime, he ends up in the infirmary after getting roughed up by inmates.[1]
Plot
A woman with teleportation powers broke a prisoner named Clay out of Iron Heights. It was later revealed as a meta human named Shawna. Shawna wants to leave the city to start a new life with Clay, which Clay disagrees, stating he wants to return the money he owed to Marcus first.
Flash team found Shawna and Clay's location and went to pursue. A Fight occurs and The Flash lost due to Shawna teleporting around and Clay shot him from the back. He tried to dodged the bullet but still scraped him on his neck. When Barry went to look for Iris to help on her report, she rejected him as she was going to have dinner with Eddie and his mother. Dejected, he called Caitlin and they planned to head to a bar together.
While Caitlin became drunk at the bar, invited Barry on stage to sing with her and asked the crowd to cheer Barry to come up, which he complies. After their singing session, Caitlin leaves to the ladies and Linda approached the bar table beside Barry who also helps him get the attention of the Bartender who ignores Barry most of the time. They had a brief moment and Linda gave Barry her contact information through a phone application before leaving. Caitlin was drunk and Barry sent her home, at her house, Caitlin asked Barry to stay with her until she falls asleep which he does.
At S.T.A.R.'s Cisco revealed that Hartley was freed because he wanted information from him about Ronnie and in the process Hartley got away. Caitlin also found out what happened before Ronnie's presumed death, which she response that it was not Cisco fault and he should not blamed himself as it was not anyone's fault. Dr.Wells explained his discovery of Shawna weakness, which is she only can teleport to places she can see.
The Flash take on Shawna and Clay again, which was a draw until Shawna teleports back to the car to escape with Clay. Dr.Wells remind of The Flash to reduce the light to limit Shawna's ability, which he does so by breaking the lights in the tunnel. The duo is trapped and Shawna was captured, but Clay escaped.
When Barry visits Henry in the prison ward, Henry is suspicious of Barry being the Flash while he shows him the newspaper. As when he revealed Julius beat him up, he was seen escaped and told the police Flash broke him out, which hinted Julius got transferred due to the break out. Barry told Henry he will be the first to know if he was the Flash. Henry still suspicious, drops some hints to tell him "if The Flash was his son" to be careful because its a dangerous career, and that he will be proud of what he was doing.
At the end of the episode, an unknown attack occurred was seen in the sewer.
