There was a gas attack by the Joker at the Daily Planet, causing a large number of employees to lose their lives. At some point, Clark Kent became the editor-in-chief.[1]

- In the comics, the Daily Planet is the daily newspaper of Metropolis and the workplace of Superman in his civilian persona.
- Clark reveals that it was a psychopath from Gotham, the Joker, that played a "prank" by gassing the building, via the Daily Planet headline, and the green gas emanating from the Planet offices in that photo would seem to indicate that the Joker was involved.
