"Dangerous Liaisons" is the nineteenth episode of the fifth season of Arrow, and the one-hundred-eleventh episode overall. It aired on April 26, 2017.
Synopsis
| Oliver, Team Arrow, A.R.G.U.S and the SCPD kick off a citywide manhunt for Adrian Chase. Helix tells Felicity they have a way to find Chase but they will need something big, and illegal, from her in return.[src] |
Plot
With law implementation organizations incapable to find Chase, Felicity consents to Alena's arrangement to free previous Helix pioneer Cayden James, who made a biometric tracker that can discover anybody, however is as of now in A.R.G.U.S. authority without fair treatment. Lyla plans to utilize James as lure to crush Helix, however Alena, having just foreseen that, discovers James' actual area and leads her group, including Felicity, to the salvage. They are hindered by the group, yet Felicity constrains them to permit Helix to escape with James. Preparation ran from February 10 until February 21, 2017, with a break on February 13 for Family Day. Shooting ran from February 22 until March 3, 2017.[1]
Trivia
- The name of this episode comes from the translated title to the French novel first published in 1782, Les Liaisons Dangereuses.
- The title would also be used as the name of the Supergirl episode "Dangerous Liaisons".
- When Team Arrow and the police enter the arcade of video game automats, one of them is a light gun shooter game called Maximum Force from 1997.
- This is the only episode of Arrow to not reference a bow and arrow at all.
- This is also one of the few episodes to not feature a flashback storyline in any form.
- This episode introduces Cayden James (unseen), who will play a major role in Season 6.
- John tells Lyla that Felicity has "gone over to the dark side". This is a reference to Star Wars.
