"The multiverse has a way of aligning fates...It's written in the stars and in this book, or I wouldn't know that on this Earth, Clark Kent is Superman. Where I come from, that would be ridiculous. He can't see past his glasses."

Lex Luthor[src]

"Holy crimson skies of death!"
—Dick Grayson[src]

Richard "Dick" Grayson was a resident of the Earth of Earth-66. He was presumably relocated to the new multiverse's Earth-66 upon its creation.[1]

Biography[]

Anti-Monitor Crisis[]

During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Dick Grayson was walking a dog on the streets of Gotham City when the red skies appeared and a wave of antimatter destroyed his universe.[2]

When the new multiverse was created by the Paragons and the Spectre, Dick was restored as a resident of Earth-66, a universe designed to be the same as the original Earth-66.[1]

Season 5[]

Behind the scenes[]

  • The sweater he's wearing has the colors red, green, black, and yellow, which were the colors he wore as Robin in Batman.
    • He's shown walking a German Shepherd before Earth-66 is destroyed, a reference to Ace the Bat-Hound who is the same breed in the comics.
    • He says "holy crimson skies of death" when he sees the antimatter red skies, a reference to how his character of Robin would say a phrase that started with "holy".
  • The dog he's walking may be a nod to Burt Ward's charity work. The actor and his wife are co-founders of Gentle Giants Rescue and Adoptions, Inc., which breeds and rescues pets for placement with good homes.
