He portrays Mick Rory/Heat Wave in a guest starring role in the first, second and third seasons of The Flash, and as a part of the main cast of DC's Legends of Tomorrow. He also reprises his role for the fifth and sixth seasons of Arrow and the third season of Supergirl.

Trivia

Dominic Purcell, along with actors Wentworth Miller, Peter Stormare, Robert Knepper, Chris Vance and Al Sapienza starred in the TV show Prison Break.
- In the episode "Zari", Mick Rory says "Prison break. I'm in" not only referring to his interest in jailbreaking but to this series where he plays Lincoln Burrows, a framed convict to escape the prison with the help of his brother, Michael Scofield portrayed by Wentworth Miller, who plays Leonard Snart.
Purcell has portrayed Dracula in the movie Blade: Trinity, based on characters from Marvel Comics.
- His character, Mick Rory, is reading Bram Stoker's "Dracula" throughout the episode "Return of the Mack".
