Dracula is a fictional character in Bram Stoker's novel Dracula, a staple of the vampire depiction.

Overview

Written by Bram Stoker, Dracula tells a story of Count Dracula, a centuries-old vampire haunting London fought by Van Helsing.[1]

During his mission to 1895 London to stop a presumed vampire, Mick Rory read the novel. Nate Heywood and Sara Lance also read it at some point, as acknowledged by them referencing the novel.[1]

Shortly before 2012 Cecil Adams was nicknamed "The Count" by criminal underworld of Starling City due to having a modus operandi similar to vampires (living the victims with two injection scars), referencing Count Dracula as well.[2]

  • Historically Count Dracula is really a character from 1897 novel Dracula written by Bram Stoker. As original novel is in the public domain, so does the character which, among with a legendary status made him one of the most adapted fictional characters with hundreds of versions among literature, movies and comics.
  • In the DC comics, there are numerous versions of Dracula seen in the Multiverse.
  • Dominic Purcell, who portrayed Mick Rory, a character reading the Dracula novel, portrayed a version of the character himself in Blade: Trinity, a movie based on characters from Marvel Comics.
