Earth-96 is one of the many universes in the multiverse.

History

At some point in the past, a Gotham City individual, who was rejected by the Daily Planet because he wasn't covered enough, gassed the planet which killed over a dozen of reporters.^[1]

Trivia

This Earth is loosely based on the Kingdom Come series.
The number 96 references the year the series came out.
This Earth also takes inspiration from both the Brandon Routh and Christopher Reeves Superman Films. This includes:
- Use of the Main Theme by John Williams.
- Referencing Superman III, where Superman went crazy then Split into a separate Clark Kent and Superman before fighting himself.
- Clark comparing Jonathan Kent to his son, Jason, based on his and Lois's son of the same name from Superman Returns.
