Erica Durance (born June 21, 1978) is a Canadian actress, producer and director. She portrays Alura Zor-El in the third season of Supergirl, replacing Laura Benanti.

  • Erica Durance is best known for her long-running role as Lois Lane in Smallville.
  • While in Alura's form, J'onn uses the pseudonym Noel Neill. The name reference the actress who played Lois Lane in the 1948 Superman film and Atom Man vs. Superman in addition to the Adventures of Superman TV series that aired from 1952–58. Neill also made appearances in the TV show Superboy, and two live-action Superman films including the 1978 film and Superman Returns. The latter previously featured Brandon Routh in the title role. Incidentally, in a season 5 of Smallville when Durance was playing Lois Lane the kidnappers to get her out the country had her fake passport read Margot Neill. A reference to Noel Neill and Margot Kidder who both played the character.
