Arrowverse Wiki

Sergeant F. Bingsley is a police sergeant of the Star City Police Department. He was in charge of briefing the newly deputized members of Team Arrow into the department.

Biography[]

Bingsley briefed a number of new recruits to the Star City Police Department, including members of Team Arrow. Shortly after, Bingsley headed a group ambushing the Blackout Gang during a weapons buy. However, the operation was ruined by the newly-deputized vigilantes, causing Bingsley to express his anger towards them at not following protocol. Not long following, he and a number of other police officers assisted Team Arrow in taking down James Midas, a corrupt businessman.[1]

After an attempted attack and murders at the SCPD, Bingsley attended the scene, before interrogating members of Team Arrow, as well as Roy Harper, on the deaths, before being forced to let them all go.[2]

After receiving surveillance footage of Roy Harper killing two transit officers, as well as intel regarding Archer having been used to detonate a bomb, Bingsley received a warrant to search Smoak Technologies, where he subsequently arrested Felicity Smoak. Felicity activated a nanoelectric pulse, causing all of the police to be knocked unconscious. Shortly after, Bingsley and the entire police department were ambushed by members of the Ninth Circle, Bingsley was brutally beaten and when Oliver arrive he tells him that he saw a person that looks like him.[3]

The next day, Bingsley and other police officers helped Team Arrow to take down Ninth Circle members collaborating with them before they evacuate the old Queen Consolidated building about to explode.[4]

Personality[]

Bingsley is similar to Quentin Lance where he believes that truth and justice could only come from law and order which is why he always refuses to violate protocols and even scolded Oliver Queen for it when Oliver violated them. According to Oliver, Bingsley had it out for him ever since Oliver was deputized as a member of the SCPD. Similar to Frank Pike, Bingsley also has a willingness to bend the rules because while he was interrogating Team Arrow on the deaths of the two transit workers, he thanked them for preventing the Ninth Circle for getting a powerful weapon from a corrupt business leader when Team Arrow trespassed that business leader's company to prevent the buyout from happening. Regardless of that, Bingsley was still motivated to catch the person who killed those two transit workers and went after Team Arrow when Emiko emailed him the footage of Roy Harper killing those workers.

Bingsley also has morals and principles because after he awakened from his coma, he immediately reported to Emily Pollard that it was Emiko and the Ninth Circle who ambushed and killed his colleagues, not Oliver and Team Arrow. While believing that Emiko killed those two transit workers to frame Team Arrow, Bingsley and other police officers helped Team Arrow to take down Ninth Circle members collaborating with them before they evacuate the old Queen Consolidated building about to explode. Bingsley has respect for Dinah as captain since he told his colleagues to obey her when Dinah gave the orders to evacuate the building. Bingsley is beginning to trust and respect Oliver Queen as the Green Arrow and the rest of Team Arrow after working with them to apprehend James Midas and take on the Ninth Circle.
