"Family of Rogues" is the third episode of the second season of The Flash, and the twenty-sixth episode overall. It aired on October 20, 2015.

Synopsis

When Barry and the team find out Captain Cold has been kidnapped, they form an uneasy alliance with his sister, Lisa. However, Barry feels double-crossed when he finds out Leonard is working with his father, Lewis Snart on a heist. Meanwhile, Joe is faced with a difficult decision.^[src]

Trivia

Interestingly enough, Barry used "Sam" as an alias when working with Lewis. Michael Ironside (Lewis Snart) played the character Sam Fisher in the Splinter Cell stealth video game series.
Lewis' line, "Nobody talks to my son that way. Nobody." after killing David Rutenberg is reminiscent of the Justice League episode "Twilight", in which Darkseid (also voiced by Ironside) said a similar line while killing Desaad with his omega beam.
In the comics, Ronnie Raymond returns as an evil Black Lantern version of Firestorm named Deathstorm. In this episode, Martin Stein's flames change to blue, much like Deathstorm's in the comics.
Michael Ironside and Peyton List previously played another father and daughter pair, General Sam Lane and Lucy Lane, in "Ambush", an episode of Smallville.

Goofs

As Barry talks to Snart at the prison, his jacket is on the chair. When Barry stands up and walks to Joe, he leaves the jacket on the chair. When both leave, Barry suddenly has his jacket in his hands.
Thermite isn't explosive but an incendiary (it burns very hot). "Thermite residue" would be everywhere since a primary component is rust.
