The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is a governmental agency within the United States Department of Justice that serves as both a federal criminal investigative organization and an internal intelligence agency.

History

After Winslow Schott Sr. escaped from prison the FBI went to CatCo Worldwide Media looking for Winslow Schott Jr. seeking to find out whether his father had contacted him or not. Initially, Winn denied his father contacting him, he subsequently confessed to having received a doll with a message for Winn to meet him at a local arcade. The FBI fixed Winn with a wire for the meeting and were planning on terminating Winslow on sight. However, they merely shot a projection on a glass figure, which then triggered a poison gas trap, though Supergirl's time intervention saved Winn, Special Agent Cameron Chase and her team.

The FBI later staked out the National City Toy Con, suspecting that Winslow would likely target his former boss, Chester Dunholtz. They nearly shot Winn, who was being leveraged by his father into assassinating Dunholtz but once again Supergirl intervened. Once Winn revealed that his father had planted bombs in the convention, Supergirl evacuated the side of the convention hall were the bombs were situated and used her freezing breath to shield everyone from the blast before apprehending Winslow and presumably turning him into the FBI.[1]

Following an assassination attempt on President Olivia Marsdin, Maggie Sawyer began collecting evidence at the airport when Alex Danvers, who claimed to work for the "FBI", approached her and asked what she was doing at the crime scene.[2] The FBI went to National City during the attacks of the Children of Liberty.[3] After Project Non Nocere failed, FBI agents broke into the Mount Norquay Bunker and arrested Eve Teschmacher, who took all the blame.[4]
