The 1st photo of Superman was taken by James Olsen.

History

James Olsen took the photo of Superman who, according to him, posed especially for the photo. Being the first photo ever taken of the superhero, it went on to win a Pulitzer Prize and gained James recognition for his association with Superman.

The photo became an exhibit at the Siegel and Shuster Gallery.
