Synopsis[]
| When a malfunction sends the Waverider crashing into 2046 Star City, our heroes face a startling version of their own future where they never stop Savage and never return home. The city is in ruins and overrun by criminals, which thrills Rory. Plot[]
After accident arriving in Star City in 2046, the group experience a wild Green Arrow...that's not Oliver Queen! In the wake of taking part in a short fire battle with the new Green Arrow, the group withdraws back to the Waverider. Tear guarantees everybody that this future isn't unchangeable and that they have to fix the boat to ensure the future happens.

Back at the Arrow Cave, Oliver says that he and Conner will be occupied with the city's criminal component with Deathstroke out of the picture. Sara offers to remain behind, however Oliver says that her strategic significant as well.

Trivia[]
- This episode, chronologically, is the first Arrowverse episode for a show set on Earth-1 to not have that universe appear. This was retroactively revealed by "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One" in late 2019, where it was shown that the events of this episode actually took place in Earth-16, instead of in a potential future of Earth-1 as was originally believed.[2]
- These events occurring in an alternate universe could be hinted at in The Flash episode "Welcome to Earth-2", where Connor Hawke/Green Arrow appeared in the dimensional stream among other heroes of the multiverse such as Kara Danvers/Supergirl of Earth-38 and Barry Allen/The Flash of Earth-90.
- This appearance was more likely intended to showcase heroes from across Earth-1's timeline (and potential crossovers), much like as with the appearance of Jonah Hex, to show some of the individuals set to appear on DC's Legends of Tomorrow, which at that point had only aired three episodes.

- The second Green Arrow in the future, calling himself "Connor Hawke", is revealed to be the son of John Diggle. In the comics, his mother is Sandra Hawke and his father is Oliver Queen.
- The name Connor Hawke would eventually be adapted as the name of Ben Turner's son. In addition, Joseph David-Jones went on to play the future version of that character in a recurring role in Arrow's seventh season and as a series regular in the eighth season.
- Oliver mentions a warehouse at the corner of "Adams and O'Neil", referencing the creative team behind the famous Green Lantern/Green Arrow series, Neal Adams and Dennis O'Neil.
- The alley has a political poster for someone named McCallister running for office in 2040. This is a reference to Bobby McCallister, a character who became President of the United States in 2040 on the Greg Berlanti television series Jack & Bobby.
- At the end of the episode, on a back shelf in Rip Hunter's office, there is a metal pot with eye holes in it. This is the helmet of Abigail "Ma" Hunkel, the original Red Tornado.
- Oliver's cybernetic arm has a S.T.A.R. Labs logo on it, meaning it was created by them for Oliver.

- When Grant Wilson is about to execute Connor, he places Connor's head on a chopping block. In doing so, Connor's sheaf of arrows blocks his neck, which would have prevented Wilson decapitating him.
