"Oh, spare me, Dirk. I know you're behind the hack. I know you want to take over CatCo. And... I have proof. Yes, you lay out the whole plan. Hack and embarrass me, get me to take a break, spearhead a hostile takeover. You even have bullet points."
Cat Grant to Dirk Armstrong[src]

Dirk Armstrong was a former member of the board of directors at CatCo Worldwide Media.

Biography[]

Hacking CatCo[]

Having been referred to as two-faced and the "walking personification of white male privilege" by Cat Grant herself, Dirk Armstrong tried to use Cat's hacked emails to ruin her reputation. After a board meeting, Armstrong admitted his colleagues to having set Cat up, though was overheard by Kara Danvers. On the same day, Dirk sees James Olsen in his office, with James saying he'll support Dirk if Cat leaves, though this was a front so that James could plant a bug on the computer at his desk. Dirk was later confronted by Cat in her office with the evidence. While Dirk admitted to the hacking, he threatened to fight. However, since Dirk used the company's computers to hack Cat's e-mails, Dirk was told by Cat that he didn't have a leg to stand on. Dirk was then fired and arrested.[1]
