S.T.A.R. Labs (Scientific and Technological Advanced Research Laboratories) is a research facility located in Central City. It is used as the headquarters of Team Flash.
History[]
Eobard Thawne had created S.T.A.R. Labs after taking on the identity of the real Harrison Wells.[1]
At some point, Barry became the owner of S.T.A.R. Labs.[2]
Ronnie Raymond, Cisco Ramon and Caitlin Snow worked on the particle accelerator; the latter two had Grodd tested for his increasing intelligence at the facility.[3]
At some point, the janitor put too much wax on the floor, causing the Flash to have an accident.[3]
In early 2020, a reporter from CatCo Worldwide Media did an article for CatCo Magazine after taking a tour of the facility.[4]
As J'onn J'onzz explained the purpose of the Tower, Kara Danvers compared it to S.T.A.R. Labs and the Arrow Bunker.[5]
Negative tachyons spread out of S.T.A.R. Labs.
The exorcism of Harrison Nash Wells was performed in a room of S.T.A.R. Labs; the negative tachyons spread across the sky.[6]
Hartley Rathaway observed as Roderick Smith was brought here from Mercury Labs; Team Flash wanted to cure Smith so that Rathaway would help them to fight Godspeed who attacked Barry in the facility while they were trying to find a way to free Iris, Kamilla, and David Singh from the Mirrorverse.[7]
Harrison Nash Wells teleported Team Flash and Joseph Carver here to keep Barry from succumbing to the temptation that Mirror David Singh was proposing where he would trade Iris, who was trapped in the Mirrorverse, for Carver.[8]
Peter Gambi knew that S.T.A.R. Labs had a hadron particle collider, which would be necessary to reconstitute Jennifer Pierce after she exploded; Barry was called by Jefferson Pierce to bring it to him.[9]
Sometime in 2021, government agents seized and took over S.T.A.R. Labs; due to high radiation signature detected at the facility, pinning it for demolition. As a result, Team Flash evacuated from the facility and relocated to Chester P. Runk's house.[10] After Barry traveled to 2031 to discover what led to the events of Armageddon, Eobard revealed that S.T.A.R. Labs leaking a radiation spike was his doing so he could usurp Barry's role as the Flash. But after Damien Darhk helps Barry to undo the alternate timeline created by Eobard, S.T.A.R. Labs remains active as the headquarters of Team Flash.
Possible future[]
In Abra Kadabra's 64th century future, S.T.A.R. Labs one day became the Flash Museum, dedicated to the history of the Flash.[11]

The Cortex[]

The Cortex of S.T.A.R. Labs.
This room is used for mission control of the missions of Team Flash. This room contains a control panel to monitor the building and Central City. This room also contains a mannequin to hold the first Flash suit, which is also where Cisco Ramon locked Harrison Nash Wells after the crisis.[12]
Halfway through the team's fight against Eva McCulloch, the mannequin area was outfitted with a constant supply of liquid nitrogen and repurposed into a cryo-pod. The cryo-pod helps to preserve Barry's Speed Force energy, and can also heal (via his healing factor) and stabilize his condition. Barry is placed into an induced coma while in the cryo-pod, and can be reawakened via the control panel.
Chester P. Runk's workshop[]
Cisco Ramon used this room to come up with ideas and build new things.[12] Cisco played Fortnite in here using the computers.[11] It was later inherited by Chester P Runk when Cisco left for A.R.G.U.S.
S.T.A.R. Labs particle accelerator[]
The particle accelerator blew up approximately in 2014 and created meta-humans.[12]
Lounge[]
The lounge is place where Team Flash chill out at times.
The Med-bay[]
The med-bay is the place where Team Flash goes to treat any medical emergencies the team has.
Speed Lab[]
The Speed Lab is where Team Flash come up with new ideas and equipment to defeat their enemies. They created the Artificial Speed Force machine here, and it was later where they used the A.S.F. machine to rebirth the original Speed Force.
Hall of Fallen Heroes[]
The Hall of Fallen Heroes.
A room was later renovated to serve as a memorial for various mementos of fallen allies. Cisco used nanites to engrave the names on a wall to ensure timeline changes cannot erase them. Those included are Harry, H.R., Sherloque, Nash, Leonard Snart, Nora West-Allen, Jesse Wells, Oliver Queen, Martin Stein and Ronnie Raymond.[13] Objects:

- Like Earth-1, it's not explained how S.T.A.R. labs is financed; given Team Flash has no problem with acquiring resources (legally) for Flash suits and other technology.
- In 2023, its revealed there had been no safety permit renewel ever since 2013 when the particle accelerator went kaboom a decade prior.
