The Sun-Eaters are an extraterrestrial species of powerful creatures that feed off of the energy of small stars, thus making them a sort of living bombs.
Overview[]
Sun-Eaters resemble black holes surrounded by multiple tentacles; they seem to be sentient although with an animal-like intellect and are driven by their hunger.[1] They can only feed on stars, thus filling their systems with thermonuclear reactions.[2]
History[]
Original multiverse[]
A baby Sun-Eater was found by Superman during one of his adventures. Eventually, he decided to keep it as a pet in the Fortress of Solitude.[2]
New multiverse[]
The same baby Sun-Eater was then released by a Morae who had infiltrated the Fortress of Solitude under Lex Luthor's orders. It had nearly consumed Earth's yellow sun before being shrunk and brought back to the Fortress.[1]
