Tyler is an agent of Crows International and the ex-husband of Sophie Moore.

Biography[]

Original multiverse[]

Early life[]

Tyler was an agent at Crows International, where he met Sophie Moore. They fell in love, though Tyler remained unaware of Sophie's true orientation and romantic past, eventually marrying at some point in 2015.[1] Tyler was well-respected by his mother-in-law who praised his decorated career and how he never forgot her birthday.[2] Despite this, Tyler recognized that Sophie's mother was a very hard woman with Sophie.[3]

Agent of Crows International[]

Tyler meets Kate

Tyler meets Kate Kane.

After Sophie was rescued by Batwoman from Alice and the Wonderland gang, Tyler returned to Gotham City to check up on her. After reuniting with Sophie, relieved she was okay, he met his wife's old friend, Kate Kane.[4]

Weeks later, Tyler and Sophie had a sparring session, in which he noticed she was more aggressive than usual.

Tyler accompanied Sophie to a party thrown by Tommy Elliot. Sophie was assigned to be security for Mary Hamilton, who was invited there. Tyler saw Kate and they briefly discussed their mutual dislike for Tommy. He asked how Kate knew his wife since Sophie had never mentioned her before. Kate, realizing that Tyler did not know his wife's past with her, replied that they were good friends at Point Rock Academy.

Later, when Jacob Kane called for "Moore" to collect Mary, both he and Sophie answered and reached her. Together, the three were trapped inside a deactivated elevator. Tyler questioned Sophie about why Kate was never previously mentioned, even though the two women went to military school together and Kate is the daughter of their boss. Sophie claimed she and Kate weren't that close. Mary stopped the argument by suggesting that the two agents should be trying to pry the doors open, which they did. Tyler went to see if he could help others.[1]

Jacob watch a report on Angus Stanton's death

Weeks later, Tyler watched a news report by Dana Dewitt on the death of Angus Stanton. When Jacob asked him why the news knew about this before the Crows, Tyler showed Jacob footage of the Bat-Signal being used by the GCPD instead of calling them for assistance. After listening to Jacob's speech degrading Batwoman, Tyler worked with him to try to identify the Executioner, but he was distracted by a report that the costumed killer was on Rucka Avenue.

The next night, Tyler helped to capture Chris Medlock. As the Crows escorted Medlock to a police vehicle, Tyler watched as Batwoman took the prisoner. He took command of the Crows team to find the two.

As Batwoman battled the Executioner in Judge Raymond Calverick's chambers, Tyler acted as Jacob's back-up; after Jacob shot the Executioner, he told Tyler to sweep the rest of the building.[5]

Marriage troubles[]

Though Sophie had disappeared for a while, Tyler was busy with Jacob.[5]

One morning, Tyler and Sophie were at work when he accessed footage of her having a conversation with Batwoman in an alley. Tyler questioned his wife about it because she had said that the vigilante fled before they could talk. Tyler, who felt that Sophie was keeping secrets from him, asked if she knew the secret identity of Batwoman, which Sophie denied.

Later, Sophie returned from "running an errand" and revealed to Tyler that she and Kate were romantically involved at Point Rock for three years, and the former was almost expelled because of it. Tyler was upset that she'd kept hidden such an important part of her past from him, to which Sophie defended that she had not even told her mother. However, when Tyler asked if her "thing" with Kate was over, Sophie hesitated, hurting him.

The next day at work, Sophie kissed Tyler and insisted that he is her love while Kate is the past, despite his doubts.[3]

A couple of days later while waiting in Jacob's office, Sophie suggested she and Tyler take a vacation from the Crows but he was aggravated. "Jacob" arrived to plan the security for the Humanitarian Ball honoring Catherine Hamilton-Kane, but turned out to be an impostor and tranquilized them. Tyler and Sophie awakened to find themselves tied up in the soundproofed room. As the two contemplated Alice's motives for not just killing them, Sophie let Kate's love for her slip, confirming Tyler's doubts. As Sophie used her engagement ring to cut their binds, Tyler continued to demand details on her past with Kate, which Alice somehow knew more about than him. As Sophie explained why she lied, he felt she was being evasive about what he truly wanted to hear. They headed for the gala, but were too late.

Later that night after Jacob's arrest, Tyler opened up to Sophie about the future he hopes to build with her, and he doesn't want to waste his life fighting for something he can't have. Tyler bluntly asked Sophie if she is in love with him, to which she finally admitted she doesn't know. Tyler was saddened and left Sophie to give her space to figure out how she feels, and whether she wants the same future he envisions.[6]

Anti-Monitor Crisis[]

During the Anti-Monitor Crisis, Tyler as well as everyone in the multiverse except for the seven Paragons, was killed in an antimatter wave by the Anti-Monitor on December 10, 2019,[7] only to be restored a month later, after the Paragons and the Spectre created a new universe.[8]

New multiverse[]

Tyler and Sophie were still separated, which prompted Sophie's mother to visit her daughter and express disappointment at Sophie's marriage falling apart.[2]

At some point, Tyler and Sophie officially divorced.[9]

Personality[]

Tyler openly expressed love for his wife Sophie and was friendly towards others, including individuals who were acquainted with Sophie, however, after Sophie revealed her sexuality and past relationship with Kate Kane, Tyler was upset at Sophie for not informing him earlier on. Believing that Sophie only married him to please conventional society views, it caused their marriage and relationship to slowly fall apart. Tyler later told Sophie that he wanted a traditional family, like a simple house and a pet, but revealed he did not want to try to achieve those things due to Sophie's sexuality and being in love with someone else.

When Sophie did not give him a proper answer on whether she loved him or not, Tyler decided to end his marriage with her so she can figure out what she wants to do with herself and who she wants to be with for the rest of her life.
