Much like Tinder, Upswipz in its core is also a dating app, with a minor difference; Tinder users swipe left or right on other users' profiles, while Upswipz users swipe up or down.
History[]
Yvette met someone on Upswipz and was confident that she'd met someone with which she could have a serious relationship. When she met him face-to-face for the first time, she learned that it was a setup, leading to him assaulting her for being transgender. Her roommate, Nia Nal, took this very personally due to the fact that she's transgender as well, and created a profile of her own to track him down. This incident prompted Yvette to delete all of her social media; Upswipz profile included.[1]
