Fitzmartin managed to destroy the credibility of witnesses John Diggle and Thea Queen's testimonies by proclaiming Diggle helped Thea purchase $74,000 worth of cocaine five months prior. However, Fitzmartin later loses the case when Quentin Lance comes forward as a witness and states that Laurel's life had been threatened and he had been helping Damien commit illegal activities under duress.[1]
