At some point, Superman was sent to Earth due to Krypton's impending destruction.
Kal-El's pod stored in the Fortress.
During the Crisis, Clark Kent went to the Fortress and mistook it for his own fortress on the Earth of Earth-38.[1]

- The Fortress of Solitude in the comics is Superman's sanctuary located in the Arctic, but sometimes even in Antarctica. It first appeared in Superman #17 (July, 1942), created by Jerry Siegel and John Sikela.
