Biography
On December 11, 2013, Detectives Fred Chyre and Joe West investigated the scene of a bank robbery in Central City. They soon discovered it wasn't a single incident but of the works of the notorious Mardon brothers. Through CSI Barry Allen's analyzation, it was revealed that Mark and Clyde Mardon had escaped to one of four possible farms, so the detectives visited each one. At the last farm, they discovered Clyde, who began shooting at them as he ran away. Chyre was shot in the neck and eventually bled to death.[1]

Chyre's death was avenged nine months later when Joe killed Clyde Mardon following a battle with the Flash.[1]
In late 2019, Joe quoted Chyre's motto to encourage Ralph Dibny, explaining that while heroes couldn't prevent all casualties, they could still save someone.[2]
