History[]
In 1978, David Poe became the editor of the Freeland Gazette. Over nine years later, after a number of disappearances of children with enhanced abilities, Alvin Pierce wrote a series of articles for the Freeland Gazette hoping to expose a vaccine that gave them the abilities. However, before they could be printed, Poe canceled them.[1]
The Freeland Gazette posted an edition on September 2, 1987, with the front page detailing the town's main street's revival.[2]
By 2018, Poe was still editor. Anissa Pierce visited the newspaper to do some research on her grandfather's work. She was initially kicked out, but Poe later gave her all of Alvin's documents.[1]
