Gay Eked (died November 2016) was a housewife, the ex-wife of Charles Eked and the mother of two children. She was the first known civilian targeted and killed by Prometheus.
Biography
Sometime prior to late 2016, Gay married Charles Eked and the couple had two children. They eventually divorced, but remained on good terms.
In November 2016, Gay was vacuuming the living room and straightening up her children's toys by herself. After finishing she turned around to see that Prometheus had broken into her home. Gay screamed in horror and fell backwards onto the ground, attempting to distance herself from the intruder. Gay begged him to take whatever he wanted but to spare her life because of her children. Prometheus ignored her pleas and instead shot a throwing star into her neck, killing her instantly.
Unbeknownst to Gay, she had been targeted solely because her name served as an anagram for the names of criminals on The List.[1]
Legacy
Gay's family was devastated over her death, with her father and ex-husband particularly angry at City Hall for not realizing that Prometheus was District Attorney Adrian Chase.[2]
