On Earth-38, numerous encounters with genies were documented for centuries. At least some of these were theorized by Winn Schott to be encounters with imps from the Fifth Dimension.[2]

- In the DC comics there are numerous genies the most known being Mister Genie. Some of them were indeed outed as creatures from the Fifth Dimension, notable example being Yz.
- In the real world genies (derived from Arabic الجن, al-jinn), also transcribed as "jinn" or "djinn" are mythological creatures (mainly from early Arabic and Islamic mythologies) of different origins and purposes.
