Sir Geoffrey de Cantonna was a knight in the year 1190.
Biography[]
Geoffrey began operating a knight sometime in 1190. He was then discovered by the Order of St. Dumas' splinter organization, the Order of the Pure, who gave him the Suit of Sorrows since he was supposedly pure of heart. However, the suit drove Geoffrey insane and he slaughtered several hundred people in a remote Alpine valley.[1]
Legacy[]
Geoffrey's activities were later discovered by Batman, who learned that the Suit of Sorrows originally belonged to him. The suit was then kept in the Batcave as a trophy; before being given to another individual dubbed the new "Azrael".[1]

- Suit of Sorrows: During Geoffrey's tenure as a knight, he used a suit of armor known as the Suit of Sorrows, which imparted strength and speed to him. However, it soon completely corrupted him, since Geoffrey's heart and soul apparently wasn't pure. The suit was later discovered by Batman and eventually passed on to the new Azrael.[1]
